Glyn was the youngest son of Samuel Bishop and Theresa Boddey.

- Glyn was the third child of Samuel John Woodman Bishop and Theresa Boddy, their first, Samuel William Bishop, died in infancy/childhood. I saw his picture when l was a child. All my half brothers were closer to my mother’s age than my father was to my mother, hence the gap between my and their ages.
