Biography

Edwin, son of Samuel Bishop & Fanny, was baptised on 5 April 1818 in Whitchurch, Hampshire, England.^[1] Edwin married Rebecca Ayling on 4 June 1838 at Old Church, Saint Pancras, London, England.^[2] Transcribed from Marriage Register;

Bachelor Edwin (minor, Painter) of Little Coran Street, son of Saml Bishop (Painter), married spinster Rebecca Ayling (minor) daughter of John Ayling (dead) on 4 June 1838 on Saint Pancras Parish Church: Euston Road, Camden, England. Both signed the Register in the presence of John Bishop and Sarah Ayling. ^[3]

Edwin and Rebecca had their daughter and son baptised on the same day in 1857. In the 1851 census, Edwin (age 33) was the head of household in Newington, Surrey, England.

Edwin's daughter Jane Bishop married John Robert Hall Selvester on 4 August 1872 in Emmanuel, Camberwell: Camberwell Road, Southwark, England.^[5] Edwin (age 66) was buried on 29 March 1884 in London, England.^[6]
