She was the daughter of Morris (Moziek, Maurice) and Julia (Jerochma) Wolenberg Binnard (Bynard) of Buffalo, Erie, New York. Originally from Rypin, Poland, they immigrated in 1850.
Sarah married Jacob Barmon when she was 14 years old in New York City. They lived in Detroit, Michigan; Buffalo, New York ; Lapeer, Michigan , and eventually settled in Spokane, Washington where Jacob Barmon continued a clothing business. Sarah was the mother of 15, 13 living by the 30th of June 1900[1].
She died in 1919 and she i buried in Fairmont Cemetery.
