William Bilbrey Sr. was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.

William Caleb Bilbrey was born on November 3, 1865 in Overton, Tennessee, United States, son of Martin VanBuren Bilbrey (1840–1921) and Paulina Jane Cooper (1836–1885).

William (24) married Cora Ann Roberts (20) (born on September 15, 1870 in Overton; daughter of George Porter Roberts and Matilda Ann (Carlock) Roberts) on October 28, 1890 in Overton. [1]

William (43) married Electa Keith Maxfield (28) (born on September 2, 1881 in Clay, Tennessee) on September 19, 1909 in Clay, Tennessee. Their daughter was Kathleen Bilbrey (1910–1984).[2]

In the 1870 census William (age 4) was in Overton, Tennessee, United States.[3] Martin Bilbrey 30, Paulina Bilbrey 34, Altimira Bilbrey 6, William C Bilbrey 4, Josephene Bilbrey 2.

In the 1910 census William (age 44) was the married head of household in Civil District 7, Overton, Tennessee, United States.[6] William C Bilbrey 44, wife Electa K Bilbrey 28, daughter Gracia E Bilbrey 16, daughter Sadie L Bilbrey 13, son Hersial R Bilbrey 11, son George H Bilbrey 6.
