Hi Bridget

I sent you a check-in message a week ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?

If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,

Mary~ Project Coordinator, Membership, 1776 Project

Greetings from the https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776

We're doing our semi-annual check-in with members to see if you have been active in the last six months? Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to these check-ins.

Please post your reply as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of the record keeping.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Welcome to the 1776 Project (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776), a subproject of the Military and War Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects#Military_and_War_Project

There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.

If you haven’t already, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include 1776 Project and any other tag terms that you wish to follow: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

Some categories have a template (SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such as Template:1776 for those who bore arms in the Revolution. Thank you.

Idea:

I am anecdotal looking at "Douglass" as a possibility... for Hannah Bigelow .. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hubbard/NNY_index/douglass.html

Update:

Douglass is not the surname for Unknown-325608 Hannah 1684-1709.

Hannah Douglass married John Bigelow ( born 1737) two generations removed.

" John Bigelow b. Dec 20, 1681; m. Nov. 4, 1709, Sarah Bigelow and settled in Colchester, Conn. Children:

Greetings..

I updated my research. I have determined that the Fuller parents are incorrect. The new profile id is Unknown-325608. The unknown status in this case is not a db error. Need to find her parents. I added more sources and notes to review. JSGB

Good Dayy .. Bridget

Superb work you are achieving!

Before we change Fuller-6270 parents I'm hoping we can find her true parents. The profile was established prior to our efforts and although I think the parents listed are incorrect having sources for her true parents would strengthen the reason for any change(s). I have two more sources to research. After our further efforts, we could post a G2G question asking for help in this regard. The Best To You and Your Family Tree ! JSGB

Bridget .. review the changes I was able to make. Fuller-6270 , Bigelow-247, Fuller-457 , and Fuller-3327 .. I think Fuller-3430 is probably incorrect. I am still reviewing that profile.

Update and advise .. BooDad

Hi Bridget,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Bridget!

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.

Wow!!! You're the 1,267th Bigelow to join Wikitree and add your family history! I'm sure your 'cousins' profiled here will benefit from you adding to Wikitree your insightful collaboration, sourced research and first-hand knowledge.

Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

See you in the branches --

Hi Bridget,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
