Pierre Luc Bernard dit St-Pierre

Pierre Bernard was born on 30 March 1715, baptized on 2 April in Cognac (St-Léger), Saintonge (Charente), son of Luc Bernard and Marie Hay.[1]

He arrived in the colony as a soldier in a marine detachment of troops, which company is unknown, the name being illegible on his marriage record.

Marriage
Pierre Bernard dit St-Pierre, 22 year old son of Luc Bernard and of Marie Hay, of the parish of St-Léger in Cognac, Saintes diocese, soldier in the company of M. ___(illegible), married Marie Madeleine Guilbert, 36 year old widow of Jean Baptiste Quenneville and daughter of Jean Guilbert dit Laframboise and of Élisabeth Lanceleur, on 22 July 1737 in Notre-Dame de Montréal, in the presence of Thomas Giroux, François Deslauriers, André Touchet and Jean Baptiste Goguet, curé Deat celebrating.[2]

No issue from the marriage.[3]

Madeleine Auger, 41 per the record, widow of Antoine Aubin, remarried on 21 Apr 1749 in Montréal (ND) with Luc Bernard dit St-Pierre, 34 year old widower of Madeleine Guilbert, from the parish of St-Léger, Saintes diocese, son of Luc Bernard and Marie Allier, in the presence of François Desnoyers, Jacques Blanchart, Claude Bouillet de Chevalet and Gabriel Bée, Priat curé celebrating.[4]

No issue from the marriage.[3]

Death
Pierre Bernard died on 23 July 1795 in Montréal and was buried in the poor's cemetery (ND) on the 24th, the record giving him around 84 years of age.[5]
