Albert was born in 1889.[1][2] He was the son of John Bentley and Louisa Ball. He passed away in 1925.[3]
In 1911, Albert married Eliza Jane Readdy.[4]
In 1915, Albert was a lengthsman and Eliza was the gate house keeper at Goondoon Railway Station on the Bundaberg line when items were stolen from their house while they were away.[5]

The funeral of the late Mr. Albert Victor Bentley, railway fettler at Bullyard, whose death at the early age of 37 years, on Thursday, occasioned considerable regret in the town and district, took place yesterday afternoon, from the Catholic Church to the Catholic cemetery, and was largely attended by relatives, and sympathising friends; a large number of whom came down from the Goondoon and Bullyard district to pay their, last sad respects to the passing of an esteemed friend.
The burial service was read by Rev. Father Hayes, and the funeral arrangements were conducted by Mr. John Novakoski. Several wreaths and floral tokens were placed on the grave. Much sympathy .has been expressed to the bereaved widow and other members of the family in their sad loss.[7]
