Nannie Benson was born in Appalachia, in Kentucky.
Nannie Benson was born on 1 January 1869 in Menifee County, Kentucky, daughter of James F Benson and Sarah McClain.
In the 1870 census Nancy (age 1) was in her parents home in Frenchburg, Menifee, Kentucky.[1]
In the 1880 census Nannie (age 11), at home, was the daughter of James Benson in Frenchburg, Menifee, Kentucky.[2]
Nannie married Taylor Power on 2 January 1890 in Menifee County, Kentucky.[3] They were parents of one son, Fred W Powers (1890-unknown).
Nannie died from tuberculosis on 4 March 1898 in Menifee County, Kentucky and was buried in Powers and Shrout Cemetery in Menifee County.[4]
