Notes
Research of John's mother and father from the 1911 Census identified an Esther Bell as his mother. Esther's birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1881 in the Gateshead district.[7]
Both his father and his mother's surname's were Bell. See marriage transcriptions following. Esther's marriage was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1897 in the Gateshead district.[8]
Robert's marriage was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1897 in the Gateshead district.[9]
John's birth and his parents birth and marriage were all registered in the Gateshead district of Durham. Therefore I believe that the above sources entered here have a high confidence as being correct.
