Biography

Joseph was born 10 February 1915 at Drumearn, Derryloran, County Tyrone. He was the son of Henry Charles Bell and Sarah Sheppard. ^[1]

His parents were second cousins, descending from William Weir (abt.1799-1883) of Unagh.

On 11 August 1937 he married Eva Mary Fraser. ^[2]

As of 1942 he was a Mill Owner of Kildress Upper, and had an easement for water from the Ballinderry River. ^[3]

The family attended the funeral of his uncle George Ernest Bell (1890-1945): "Joseph, Eva, Sydney, Yvonne and Albert".

His wife passed away in 1997; at this time he was Clerk of Session at Orritor Presbyterian. He was a J.P. ^[4]
