Henry Behenna was born in Cornwall, England.

His birth year of 1770, place Cornwall, is based on census records. He is not the Henry Bohennah/Behenna born in Tregony to Richard Behenna and Martha Thomas as that Henry died in 1831, age 61^[1] and he is not the Henry Behenna who married Mary Blamey. It is more likely, given his parish at residence at the time of his marriage was Kea, that he is the Henry Behenna who was christened in Kea, 14 July 1771^[2]

Henry is known from birth records for his children born in Merther, Cornwall. His wife was Thomasin, birth surname unknown.^[3]

Thomasin Richards married Henry Bohenna at St. Michael Penkevil, Cornwall, 5 September 1800^[4] He was of the parish of Kea and she was of St. Michael Penkevil.

He died in 1848 and was buried 29 Mar 1848, his residence given as Merther^[7]
