Ernest Wills Beer was born 15 March 1898 in Mackay, Queensland. He was the son of Rose Edith & Arthur Wills Beer.[1]
On his enlistment papers he stated his occupation was butcher.Died of wounds received at Gallipoli, buried at sea. [2]
Private. 6th Bn. Australian Infantry A.I.F. No 1913. 6th Battalion The 6th Battalion was among the first infantry units raised for the AIF during the First World War. Like the 5th, 7th and 8th Battalions, it was recruited from Victoria. His name is memorialised at Lone Pine Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey. [2] [3]
