Biography

Ralph was born in 1898. Ralph Beck grew up on a farm. According to family stories, he enlisted in the Navy at the age of 16. He became a carpenter's mate. He probably met his wife Ethel when visiting his aunt in Brooklyn New York on leave. Ethel Aplustille lived next door to his aunt. After serving in the Navy, he became a fireman in New York. He retired and moved to California where he was a builder. He died in Atlanta, Georgia and is buried in Los Angeles, California.
