Elizabeth Becher born about 1642, may be a descendant of John Becher, born 1486 or James Becher, born by 1490, that lived in Penshurst, Kent for many years and did not leave Kent, England.

Elizabeth Becher born after 1641 if she was younger than her husband John Woodgate, a member of the local landed gentry in Penshurst who was born in 1641.

Elizabeth Becher married John Woodgate of Chidingstone, Kent before 1676 and perhaps as early as 1661, and had one child:

• • Elizabeth Woodgate, who passed away three days after her mother, no age given.

Elizabeth Becher may have died in childbirth because she died October 23, 1676, three days before her child Elizabeth passed away. Her husband John Woodgate also died the same year, so they all could have died of the same disease if this was not the month of her child's birth.
