Biography

Charles Beavers was an Arkansan.

Charles Wakefield Beavers was born in 1854, the son of John Beavers and Elizabeth Owens. 1860 his father had died and the family was living with his maternal grandparents in Moreland Township, Pope, Arkansas.[1]

Charles married Nancy Jane Stobaugh about 1871 in Conway County, Arkansas.[citation needed] Their children were:

  1. John Henry Beavers (1872– ) .
  2. Mary Jane Beavers (1873– ) .
  3. William Jefferson Beavers (1876–1914) .
  4. Elizabeth Beavers (1880–1967) .
  5. Sarah Clearcy Beavers (1883–1979) .
  6. Leoria May Beavers (1889–1948) .
  7. James W. Beavers (1892– ) .
  8. George Washington Beavers (1894–1959)

On 1 June 1880 they were in Lick Mountain, Conway County, Arkansas. He was a farmer.[2]

Charles was buried in 1898 in Old Liberty Cemetery in Scotland, Van Buren County, Arkansas.[3]
