Obituary: CARMEN E. FRASER, 1920-2008 AUBURN - Carmen E. Fraser, 87, formerly of Lewiston and Gray, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, at Clover Health Care, where she had been a resident since February 2005. She was born Dec. 24, 1920, in Lewiston, the daughter of the late Dewey P. and Yvonne B. (Fournier) Beaudoin. A life-long area resident, she attended Our Lady of the Rosary School in Sabattus and graduated from Sabattus High School in 1937. She had worked for Pepperell Mfg. Co., served in the U.S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve, worked more than 15 years for Bates Mfg. Co. and worked as a cook in assisted living facilities in Gray and in Auburn. She was a member of the American Legion in Lewiston and Gray. She married Willard J. Mahar on Dec. 5, 1942, [they divorced in 1949] and later married Armand A. Breault on Aug. 22, 1951, he died in 1958. [Armand adopted her first two children, Jackie and Jimmy, in 1956, changing their last name from Mahar to Breault.] She then married John B. Fraser on Oct. 24, 1970. He died in 1990. She enjoyed cribbage, reading, crossword puzzles, was an avid Red Sox fan and also enjoyed dancing with her husband, John. Survivors include her daughter, Jacqueline A. and her husband, Ralph Everett, of Norway; her three sons, James F. Breault of Lubock, Texas, Simeon D. Breault and his wife, Monique, of Brunswick and William M. Breault of Poland; a sister, Theresa Millett of Boston; a stepdaughter, Armande Case of Lewiston; eight grandchildren, Roger Houle and his wife, Sandra, of Michigan, Carmen Hamlin and her husband, Steven, of West Virginia, Paul Houle of Lewiston, Kimberly Everett and her husband, Rick Clemons, of Poland, Diane Breault, Joseph Breault and his wife, Dawn, of Merrimack, N.H., Christopher Breault and his wife, Beth McKeon, of Charlestown, Mass., and Nicholas Breault and his wife, Amanda, of Manchester, N.H.; and five great-grandchildren, Nicole, Tiffany and Casey Hamlin, James Houle and Sabrina Gilpatrick [Sabrina is not a biological descendant]. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rita M. Johnson and Georgette B. Millett; and a brother, Paul E. Beaudoin, who died as an infant. Carmen's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Clover Health Care for their loving care during her stay with them. Funeral Notice: FRASER -- Carmen E., 87, died Nov 16 Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday [21Nov] at 11 a.m. at The Fortin Group Funeral Home, Lewiston. Burial with military honors will follow at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
