Robert was born 16 Nov 1881 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He was the son of Amos Beaty and Euphenia Kelly. He died 11 Apr 1961 in Mecklenburg County and was buried on 13 Apr 1961 at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County. He was the widower of Bertha Annie Porter and a retired bus driver.[1]
