Biography

Robert Beatty

Robert Beatty of Marbletown, Ulster, NY, where he was born about 1692-3, eldest child; member of the Marbletown Infantry, 1715-17; Fence-viewer, 1721; Freeholder, 1728; executor of his brother Charles, 11 March 1727. Died between 15 August 1726 and 20 June 1742.^[1]

After the 1720 death of his father John Beatty, Roberts mother Susanna, between 1723 and 1728, removed from New York to Frederick, Maryland, where she bought 1,939 acres of land. Eight of Robert's sibling accompanied her on the exodist, while he and brother Charles stayed New York.

Robert's father in his 1720 will left Robert with land in Marbletown, Ulster, NY where he lived.
