WILLIAM BEATTY, (son of James, grandson of John) b. about 1718; d. in February, 1784, at Ballykeel-Ednagonnel. "Burried in Anahilt glebe. The grave is covered with a flat tombstone, and with the exeption of the name, nothing can be traced, owing to the wear and tear of the weather and the continual friction of passing feet. The central portion of the stone has been worn perfectly smooth." - (Letter of Miss M. Beatty, 1878.)
William Beatty m., in 1741, MARY MCKEE, b., about 1820, at McKee's Dam, Clogher, county Down, Ireland; d. about 1796, and buried in Anahilt churchyard, Ballykeel-Ednagonnel.
