Biography

William Beare was born about 1749.

He married Elizabeth Unknown before 1785.

Together they had one known son:

  1. Richard, married Susanna Moore

William died in 1829.

He was buried at St. Petrock's Churchyard, in Newton St. Petrock, Devon, England. His headstone is engraved:

Here
Lies interred the Mortal Remains of
WILLIAM BEARE
of this Parish who departed this
life on the 23rd of April 1829.
In the eighty-second year of his age.

With patience to the Last he did submit
And murmured not at what the Lord thought fit
But with a Christian courage did resign
His soul to God at his appointed time
