Melissa Lodema (Beardsley) Branning was born on 25 May 1848, daughter of Erastus Beardsley (1812 - 1880) and Phebe A. (Wood) Beardsley (1820 - 1880). [1]

Melissa married her 2nd cousin Aretus Leartus Branning (~1848 - 1893) on 8 Mar 1876. Their children were:

  2. William E. Branning (1880 - 1887)
  3. Emma E. Branning (1883 - 1887).

Melissa died on 15 Feb 1893 in Morris, Otsego, New York, United States aged 44.
