Nellie (Beardsley) Holt is a descendant of the immigrants William Beardsley and Mary Harvie.
Biography
Nellie was born in 1880. She was the daughter of Oliver Beardsley and Theresa Leedom. She passed away in 1978.[1]
Co-author: Beardsley Genealogy: The Family of William Beardsley, One of the First Settlers of Connecticut, compiled and edited by Nellie Beardsley Holt and Charles Eleazer Holt. Published at West Hartford, Connecticut, 1951.Note: A little license is used here when it is suggested that Nellie "published" her genealogy of the Beardsley family, according to what information is available she had a very limited number of volumes printed, less than 50 copies by some accounts. It should also be noted that she used liberal amounts of the information in the genealogy published by the Reverend Isaac H. Beardsley, while at the same time noting that she updated and corrected much and rearranged that information into a more traditional genealogical style (Rev. Beardsley's book was arranged alphabetically).
