Alanson Bean is the son of Jonathan Bean (born 1775 at Standish, Maine) and Anne (McGill) Bean. [1]
On December 1, 1831, in Rumford, Oxford County, Maine, Alanson married Hannah P. Hemmingay, daughter of Francis Hemmingway and Rebecca (Godwin) Hemmingway. [2]
Alanson Bean cleared a small farm and built a log cabin on the north side of the road below the H. T. Chase house in Upton, Oxford, Maine.
The family went west, but Alanson returned to Cambridge, Coos, New Hampshire where he died. He had several sons who were in the Union Army. He probably came to Cambridge, Coos, New Hampshire around 1840.
