Augustus was born in 1791. He was the son of Jesse Beacham and Mary Hendricks. He was born in South Carolina^[1].

He married 1st Elizabeth Denson. Their oldest son, Newell Haggar's, death certificate lists his birthplace as Tennessee. ^[3] The family moved from Tennessee to Texas in the 1840's.

He married 2nd Mary Frances McCabe and had a son, Augustus Graves Beacham/Beauchamp Jr. His son was a doctor who lived in Texas. His son's obituary indicated that his father, Mr. A. G. Beauchamp, had come to Lamar County, Texas, from Tennessee.^[4]

Information from J. Magers Beacham/Beauchamp research posted to Ancestry: A possible son of Jesse Beacham is Augustus Graves Beachum (Beauchamp) (1790-1870). He married Elizabeth Denson according to most genealogies. Augustus apparently went to Kentucky before 1813, then was in Morgan Co., Ala in the 1820's. He was in Lamar Co., Texas in 1850 and 1860 and died there in May of 1870. While some believe that he was descended from the Maryland Beauchamp family, he stated in the census, and it is stated on his death records, that he was born in Carolina. Benjamin H. Beauchamp and his wife, Sarah Pettus both died in 1870 in Titus Co., Tx and are listed on the 1870 US Mortality Schedule. Also listed on the same schedule for Titus Co., Tx., is Newell (Nowell) Beauchamp, son of Augustus Graves Beauchamp. It seems to me there is a connection between the families of Benjamin H., Augustus G., and Nicholas Beauchamp. On the 1870 census for Lamar Co., Tx, Burton Wesley Beauchamp and family (along with his mother, Mary King Beauchamp, widow of Nicholas) are shown on the same page as Mary McCabe Beauchamp, second wife and widow of Augustus Graves Beauchamp.

The youngest child of Nicholas and Mary King Beauchamp was Rebecca Elizabeth. Rebecca E. Beacham married Marshall N. C. Pace in 1873 in Lamar Co., Tex. She is a widow in 1880 and shows up in the household of James Beauchamp, a son of Nowell H. Beauchamp and grandson of Augustus G. Beauchamp as:
