Biography

Barbara Anna Baumann was born 5 Jun 1843 in Villigen, Aargau, Switzerland, the daughter of Hans Jakob Baumann and Elisabeth Ott. She came with her parents and siblings to Riley township, Sandusky county, Ohio, in 1848; her father and younger sister died shortly after arrival.^[1] She is found in the 1850 census as "Elizabeth Bowman," age eight, living with her mother in her stepfather's household in Sandusky county, and in the 1860 census as "Barbara Beck" with her mother in her second stepfather's household in Sandusky county.

Barbara married first Edward Schoch 2 Aug 1863 in Sandusky county; they had one daughter, who disappears from records after 1880 and presumably died young. Edward died in 1891 and Barbara married second Albert S Myers 19 Sep 1893 in Sandusky county; they had no children.

Barbara died 27 Nov 1917 in Fremont. She is buried in the Schoch family cemetery in Fremont as Barbara Schoch, wife of Edward.
