Mathilde was born February 23rd 1825, she was the daughter of Joseph Baucher dit Morency, innkeeper, and his wife Archange Richard. She was baptized February 27th 1825 in St-Étienne-de-Beaumont, godparents were Charles Labrêque and Rosalie Baucher, neither could sign.[1]
On January 14th 1845, in St-Étienne-de-Beaumont, Didace Patris, farmer, minor son of Raymond Patris, and Louise Nault dit Labry married Mathilde Baucher dit Morency minor daughter of Joseph Baucher dit Morency, innkeeper, and Archange Richard. All parties of this parish. Witnesses were: groom's father Raymond Patris, groom's brother in law Guillaume Roi, bride's father Joseph Baucher dit Morency, and Alexandre Turgeon. Bride and her father sign, groom signs, other signatures: Damase Turgeon, Selina Patri, Zéphérine Patri.[2]
They obtained a dispensation for a 3rd degree of consanguinity, their common ancestors were Joseph Baucher and his wife Geneviève Huot.

Living in Beaumont, Bellechasse County, Canada East (Quebec), Canada. Page 55, Lines 9-17.[3]
- 1861 Raymond Patris, rentier (annuitant), and Louise Labris are living in Beaumont, Bellechasse, Canada East. On the next page is their son Didace Patry, his wife Mathilde Morency and their children: Julie, Alexina, Romuald, Marila(?), Aurélie, Adélard and Achille; also a servant Josephe Marceau(?). Page 20, Lines 49 and 50;[4] Page 21- Lines 1-11.[5]
- 1871 Louise Labris now widowed is living in Beaumont, Bellechasse, Québec with her son Didace Patry, his wife Mathilde Morency and their children: Romuald, Aurélie, Adélard, Achille and Aristide; also a servant Marie Guilmette. Page 30, Lines 2 - 10;[6]

My mother and several of her female descendants, including me, have gotten MtDNA haplogroup results from either 23andme or the Genographic project. We are Haplogroup K1a. If another direct descendant has other than K1a Haplogroup please contact me so we can sort out which one of the two of us has an erroneous connection to Mathilda Baucher dite Morency.
