Richard “Dick” Bruce Batterson was born February 15, 1921. He was the son of Howard J. and Edith L. (Giltner) Batterson.
Dick served in the (Corporal) U. S. Marine Corp during World War II and later worked for the Telephone Company.
He married Miss Beatrice I. Poole on May 31, 1944. They first made their home in Scotia where he was with the U. S. Naval Supply Depot. [1] They had a daughter Daphne before the marriage ended.
Dick then married Charlotte M. (Brizzee) Flood, the widow of John Flood on July 16, 1949 in Dryden, New York. They made their home at Hook Place in Ithaca, New York. [2]
On January 26, 1969 he married Miss Gaye Smith. [3]
Dick Batterson died December 23, 1993 in Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York. He is buried in Inlet Valley Cemetery in Ithaca, New York. [4]
