Mahala's 2nd marriage was to Charles Marion Bates Sr. and they had Charles Marion Bates Jr. b. 6 Nov 1861 in Mincy, Taney Co., MO, d. 7 Jan 1940 at Fort Gibson, Muskogee Co., OK, and is buried at the Citizens Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK.
