Biography

Dorothy Louise Batchellor[1][2] was born on 27 October 1896,[1] in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania[1][3] to Daniel Batchellor[4] and Anna Marie Harper.[5] (Her marriage record clearly reports her mother's family name as 'Parker',[1] but better evidence (including her father's death certificate[5]) consistently indicates it was 'Harper'.)

In 1900, she was living with her family at 1130 Mount Vernon Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[6]

In 1910, she was living with her family at 454 West Bringhurst Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was attending school.[7]

On 27 October 1917, she married Frank Kenneth Campion, at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a contractor, and lived at 133 W. Seamore Street, Germantown, Philadelphia. She was a pianist, and lived at 5148 Larchwood avenue, Philadelphia.[1] They had no known children.

In 1920, Kenneth and Dorothy were living at 225 Central Avenue, Miami, Dade County, Florida, lodging with Harry S Ramsey. Neither of them were working.[8]

By 24 February 1923, Kenneth had filed for divorce from Dorothy.[2]

She married James E. Hewes. They had no children.[9]

On 21 November 1985, she died, apparently in New London, Connecticut.[9]
