Baptism
If Jane's birthplace in 1851 is wrong (like her mother's is) then she could have been baptised on 12 Jul 1835 at St Cuthbert's Churchtown, the daughter of John Barton (labourer of Crossens - which is 33 km from St Helens) and his wife Ellen.
