Rebecca Barton was born in 1843 in Kesh, County Fermanagh, Ireland, United Kingdom, daughter of Roland Barton and Ann Boulton.

In the 1871 census Rebecca (age 26) lived in Bathampton, Somerset, England. Rebecca was the parlourmaid for the Mr. Vincent and his wife Frances. Mr. Henry H. Vincent was the Colonel of the Bombay Corps (active list). ^[1]

Rebecca married General Wheeler (born in 1850 in South Cerney, Gloucestershire, England; son of James Wheeler and Sylvia Glass) on June 18, 1872 in Bathampton, Somerset, England.^[2] Their known son was Charles William Wheeler (~1877–1958).

In the 1881 census Rebecca (age 37) was the wife of Genr Wheeler in Cleveland Row, Bath Bathwick, Somerset, England. Her husband was a Dairy Man.^[3]

In the 1891 census Rebecca (age 48) was the wife of General Wheeler in Bathwick with Woolley, Somerset, England. She was a Dairy Woman.^[4]

In the 1901 census Rebecca (age 54) was the wife of General Wheeler in Bath, Somerset, England. Her husband was a Masons Labourer.^[5]
