Benjamin S Bartee was born on 15 April 1859 in Virginia, United States, son of Hiram Bartee (1828–about 1863) and Margaret S. C. Fugate (1834–1888).
Benjamin (22) married Eva Sharp (18) (born on 17 November 1863 in Litchfield, Montgomery, Illinois, United States; daughter of Alvis Sharp and Nancy Matilda (Redfern) Sharp) on 11 December 1881 in Labette County, Kansas, United States.[1] Their known children were:
- Cora M Bartee (6 August 1883 – 28 May 1917) .
- Katie Bartee (0 July 1884 – unknown) .
- Gertrude Bartee (18 August 1889 – 24 October 1955) .
- Benjamin Seamore Bartee (27 September 1893 – 29 December 1965)
Benjamin died on 23 February 1934, aged 74.[2]
