Mary Ann Barrett was born about 1857 in Ontario, Canada, daughter of Anthony Barrett (~1828–1889) and Ellen O'Brien (~1836–~1883).[1]
Mary married Lawrence Kane (born in 1858 in Maidstone, Essex). Their daughter was Ellen Gertrude Kane (1885– ).
In 1881, Mary A (23) Barret was in the household of Richard Barret in Sandwich East Township, Essex, Ontario. [2]
Mary died on November 1, 1897, aged 39. She was buried in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Maidstone, Essex County, Ontario.[1]
