On July 4, 1852, Caroline married Elijah Stanley, in Macomb County, Michigan^[2][3].

She married Elijah Stanley in 1852 with a maiden name of Barrett having a son, Eugene in 1853. She later married Joseph Soden.

In 1870, Caroline (32 - born in Pennsylvania and worked at keeping house), lived in Sterling Heights, Macomb County, Michigan, with her inferred husband Elijah (37 - born in New York and worked as a farmer) and their inferred son Eugene Stanley (16 - born in Michigan and at home)^[4].
