Russell was born on 20 April 1902 in Brookfield Twp, Main City, Linn Co., Missouri, USA. He was the son of George Washington Barr and Myra Melvina Bingham.[1][2][3][4] He passed away in 1993.[5][6]

Russell was married December 11, 1925 to Ora Jeanette Shaffer. [7][8]

Russell died at the age of 91 on 13 December 1993 in Laurel, Yellowstone Co., Montana, USA.[9][10]

Russell was buried in 2000 in Rockvale Cem. Rockvale, Carbon Co., Montana, USA.

Russell married on an unknown date in * Paternal relationship is confirmed through Y-Chromosomal DNA Testing. Brian Barr, FTDNA kit #951879, and his 2nd cousin twice removed, Bernie Barr, FTDNA kit #80521, match at a genetic distance of 3 steps on 37 markers, thereby confirming their paternal lines to their most recent common ancestor John Peter Barr. FTDNA indicates that the probability the two share a common ancestor within the last 8 generations is 88.74% and the last 12 generations are 97.36%.
