1936 'MISS FANNY BARNS', The Corowa Free Press (NSW : 1875 - 1954), 21 January, p. 3. , viewed 06 Oct 2023, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article236859484 MISS FANNY BARNS The death occurred at the Corowa Hospital on Friday last, after an illness extending over about eight months, of Miss Fanny Kate Barns, aged 67 years, of Bungowannah. The late Miss Barns was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Barns, pioneer residents of the Albury district, and had lived most of her life in that district with her brother, Mr. Harry Barns, of "Warthall," Bungowannah. Besides her brother, mentioned above, she is also survived by three sisters, who are Mrs. E. Lavis (Hopefield), Mrs. Thomas Jones ,(Parramatta) and Mrs. Browning (Armidale, N.S.W). The funeral was held on Sunday last, when, the remains were conveyed to Bungowannah and interred in the Bungowannah cemetery. The service at the graveside was conducted by Rev. Canon Ross-Edwards. Mr. J. Squires had charge of the funeral arrangements.
