William was born in 1918 in Alabama[1]. He was the son of George Barnett and Maybelle Woodham. He lived with his family in Baker, Florida in 1930[2], and in Pensacola, Florida from 1935-40[3][4]
In 1941, he married Thelma Bernice Roche[5]. They had 2 children.
In 1945, he is listed as living with his parents in Pensacola[6]. In 1950, he and his family are living in Escambia County, Florida[7].
