Benjamin was born in 1892.^[1]

He enlisted with the First Depot Battalion, Manitoba Regiment on Apr. 30, 1918. He was discharged on Aug. 15, 1918. Prior to his discharge he was placed on conditional leave to return to Registrar's Records. They later found the missing documents were unobtainable.

He married Martha Jane Neighbour and they had two children Sylvia and Robert. They lived in Medora until their retirement when Ben and Martha moved to Winnipeg.
