I've just joined WikiTree with the hope I can collaborate and help others to refine their trees and my own. I'm also interested in liaising with descendants and relations who match me, via Tree matches or better still DNA matches.
Please feel free to message me, if I need to correct something. As I'm new I may need some guidance.
I've uploaded a number of GEDCOM files from my tree, but realised I had already added some relatives manually. So I will pause for now adding GEDCOM files and concentrate on updating and correcting my current contributions.

Welcome to WikiTree! You have been busily working away over here in your branch. :-D You're doing nice work!
I thought you might be interested in looking at our list of projects here on WikiTree. We have a United Kingdom project, and it also looks like you're interested in DNA connections. Our DNA project is growing and helping people learn how to use the unique features of WikiTree to verify their genealogy.
I hope you're enjoying your time here. :-)

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified! With the certification comes a strong recommendation to choose a project which best fits the pre-1700 profiles you'll be working on. Since you've joined recently, you'll be getting tour stops introducing you to all kinds of WikiTree wonderfulness for the next several weeks. I'd recommend waiting for the Week 2 tour stop which includes information about projects.
In the meantime, be thinking about the particular time periods, locations, and topics in which you're interested. Do you have some historically-significant ancestors? Take a look at the list of [active projects] for ideas.
Have questions? Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Youve been here about a week now so I thought Id check in with you to see how its going. We have a condensed How-Tos or all things Wikitree to help you moving forward.
Give me a shout if I can help in any way.

Thanks for joining us! Im David, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.
Did you have fun learning your way around WikiTree yesterday?
I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?
David ~ Wiki Mentor
You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree. Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.
Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.
You can also meet some of our members by joining in the fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum:Have you attended a family reunion this summer?
Welcome!

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
You'll get an email from us that has helpful links to get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any other genealogy site out there.
When you confirm your email address, youll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? Fill in the tags and comments on your profile to show what you're researching? and click the "Save Tag(s) and Volunteer" button, and one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
