Francesca Barcellona was born about 1816 in Alia, Sicilia, the daughter of Francesco Barcellona and his wife Filippa Pizzillo

Francesca Barcellona married Sebastiano Cardinale before 1853. He was about six years older, so he was probably born about 1808.

• Giuseppa Maria Cardinale born August 2, 1846 in Alia, Sicilia.
• Filippa Marie Cardinale, born in January 1853, in Alia, Sicilia, when Francesca was 37 years old. Filippa Maria Cardinale married Leonardo Centanni, the son of Giuseppe Centanni and Concetta Catalano, and the brother of Antonino Rosario Centanni who was born in 1808.

Francesca Barcellona Centanni passed away between 1873 and 1916.. She ws still alive at the time of her daughter Filippa Maria Cardinale's marriage on September 21, 1873.

NOTE: Francesca Barcellona is one of at least three ladies named Francesca Barcellona who married in Alia. The other two married Pietro Vassalo and Gaspare Scaccia. A fourth Francesca Barcellona passed away in 1837 during the Great Cholera Epidemic which killed hundreds of people in Alia at the age of 35 and she was single.
