Biography

Charles Banks was the son of James Banks and Elizabeth Cowperthwaite of Sunbury County, New Brunwick[1]

On 6 Sep 1849 he married Phebe Elizabeth Babbitt, the daughter of Thomas Babbitt and Elizabeth Watson[1] [2] [3], and their children included:

  1. Nettie, born circa 1866[4], who married George Quarterman[5]

Charles died May 11, 1891[6], and left his wife and daughter[7]

His death occurred at 10 o'clock yesterday morn. 11th inst. Deceased was an uncle of the BABBITT brothers of Gibson (York Co.); left wife and daughter. Deceased was a member of the Bptist church.
