Biography

Alfred was born in 1822. He is the son of George Bandy and Martha Gibbs. He passed away about 1862. [1]

1850 - Alfred and his wife Adaline (age 25) and daughter Lavina are living with his father, step-mother, and siblings in Catawba County. Alfred was 28.[2]

1860 - living in Catawba County with Adeline, and their children Naomi and John P. Age 38; farmer.[3]

1870 - living in Hawkins County, Tennessee, with his wife Adaline (blind), and their children Omea and John P. Age 50; farmer.[4](Note: familysearch census citation mistakenly says Grainger County; image is from Hawkins County)

1880 - living in Hawkins County, Tennessee, with Camilla A. (blind), and their granddaughter Ella. Age 58; farmer.[5] Two other Bandy families from North Carolina are listed immediately after Alfred; relationship unknown.
