Eric Brockwell Bamberry was born on 16th October 1915 at Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia. He was the son of Alfred Bamberry and Beatrice Kemp.[1]
On 27th May 1941, he enlisted in the Australian Army.[2] He was posted to the 25th Australian Infantry Battalion. The 25th arrived at Milne Bay, Papua on 15th July 1943 and was deployed defending the No. 3 airstrip at Gili Gili and covering the beach against the Japanese attack.[3] Eric was discharged on 20th June 1946.
He passed away on 5th November 1985 at Queensland.[4]
