Biography

Robert Sarjeant Balmer was born in 1827 in County Clare, Ireland, the son of Charlotte (Sarjeant) Balmer and Richard Balmer.^{[citation needed]}

He was married to Elizabeth Raeburn Hicks.^{[citation needed]}

Robert and his wife emigrated to South Australia on the Senator in 1849.^[1] In 1852 they moved to Victoria.

Robert died on 17 May 1901 in St Kilda, Victoria, Australia.^[2] Burial:^[3]
