Albert was born in about 1884 in London.
Albert was a boilermaker's assistant who worked as a stove and range fitter. He had worked with South Metropolitan Gas Co. in London as a plater's assistant in Grand Surrey Canal for 8 months, stove fitting for Metters for 18 months, and in Australia for J. Bassitt & Sonsstove makers, Sydney and J. Ward of Surrey Hills for 3 years stove fitting.
On 24 Jul 1917 he signed an agreement with the Australian government to become and Australian Munitions Worker, working in the UK and was issued Australian Munitions Worker Badge No. 3255. He was married, living in Princes St Ryde, NSW and appears to have been in Australia from about 1913. He embarked for the UK from Sydney on the SS "Anchises" on 08 Aug 1917 arriving in Liverpool, England on 02 Oct 1917.
He began work as a fitter at Kingsbury Aviation on 08 Oct 1917. He suffered ill health (haemorrhoids and rheumatism), so a change was approved to the Humber Motor Works in Kilburn on 20 Apr 1918. He continued to suffer significant ill health so was repatriated to Australia.
He returned to Australia on the SS "Thongwa", departing Avonmouth on 10 Jan 1919. His agreement was terminated on 24 Apr 1919. He was discharged from hospital in Australia on 24 Apr 1919.
He seems to have lived in Ryde, NSW and died there in 1959.
