Biography

While all traditional sources give Alexander and Shiela as Carole’s parents, DNA suggests otherwise. It appears that Shiela and Alec probably both knew this but agreed to bring her up as though she was both Alec’s and Shiela’s child. Shiela was the biological mother, of course. DNA has provided clear proof of this and Carole’s biological father identified through many cousin links and, most importantly through one of her paternal half-sisters, who kindly agreed to test. A shock to both of us, I suspect. All we can both say is: “It was the war!” 1944!! A further entry is needed for this side of Carole’s family. My Biological grandfather's WikiTree link is Sharp-14337 A tentative link to the profile for my Biological father is Sharp-15185

Pam ~ WikiTree Greeter

Hi Carole,

A warm welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used and it is FREE. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

We’re really glad you’re here. More importantly, have fun growing your family tree and connecting to persons with the same interest.

Ludwig :)
