George, the eldest son of John Baldwin of the Hayle was born say 1526 at Wendover, Buckinghamshire.^[1][2][3]

Marriage and Children

George married Avelyn Aystell say 1550, likely at Wendover, Buckinghamshire. They had at least six children (listed based on sources to assist with eldest to youngest):^[1]

Death and Will

George Baldwin died say March 1576 in his 50th year at Wendover, Buckinghamshire. His will is dated 16 February and proved 20 March 1577 by his widow Avelyn, probably the sister of William Aystell, whom he called his brother, and named overseer with his own brother Sylvester Baldwin, and own son Ralph Baldwin. The children other than Ralph were under age.^[1][3]

Research Notes

• George was called "cousin" (i.e. nephew) in the will of Ellen Baldwin, of "Dundridge" in 1565/66; and her 2 daughters were to be guided by him in their marriages.^[3]
