Albert Baker was born on May 4, 1850 in Richmond, Colony of New South Wales, son of William Cornwell (~1827–1906) and Mary Anne Oxley (<1830–1904).^[1]

Albert (26) married Sophia Sams (17) (born on March 24, 1859 in Narellan, New South Wales; daughter of Charles Sams and Ellen (Rodford) Sams) on October 4, 1876 in Stoney Creek, New South Wales. ^[2]

Albert died on December 29, 1923 in Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia, aged 73.^[3]

Albert was buried: St Andrews Anglican church cemetery, Cooyal, New South Wales. ^[4]

DEATH OF LINBURN RESIDENT.

The death took place on December 29, of Mr Albert Baker, a respected resident of Linburn, aged 71 years. Deceased, who had been in failing health for some time, lived at Linburn and Cooyal practically all his life. His wife died a couple of years ago. He is survived by the following sons and daughters:— Messrs. A. E. and E. O. (Linburn). W. R. (Cooyal), Mes dames J. Holland (Mudgee), C. Baker (Newcastle) and Warner (Linburn). In addition there are the following brothers and sisters: Messrs Owen and Edward (Q), Geo. (Linburn). Mesdames Yorke (Linburn), and P. Blackman (Q). Internment took place at Cooyal on December 31. where the Rev. S. Bostock Jones (Methodist) read the burial service, and Mr. J. C. Swords carried out the funeral arrangements.
