Ezekiah was born in 1844. He was the son of Phillip Baker (1818-1906) and Ann Elizabeth Mayes (1820-1856).
He enlisted January 1, 1864 into Company K of the 4th Regiment, Penn. Cavalry. Mustered in as a corporal and died incarcerated in Andersonville Prison that same year. The cause of death was diarrhea.[1] He is buried in grave 4610.
