WEDDING
Cox — Baker
St. John's Church of England, Mudgee, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Saturday last, when the Rev. R. Douglas united in the silken fetters of wedlock Ronald Charles Cox and Miss Dorothy Eileen Baker. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Cox, Bocoble, while the bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Baker, of Mudgee.
The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a lovely frock of brocaded satin, with full length veil. Her bouquet was of magnolia, lilies and carnations. Miss Kathleen Baker (sister), who acted as bridesmaid, was attired in pale blue taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink gladioli. Mr. Dudley Cox, cousin of the groom, carried out the duties of best man. During the signing of the register Mr. Owen Deall rendered "Because" is splendid voice.
The reception was held in the Presbyterian Sunday School hall, where the guests were received by Mesdames Baker and Cox. The Rev. R. Douglas presided and the usual toasts were proposed and honored. After the festivities the happy pair departed for Sydney, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride travelled in a handsome frock of blue silk, with white hat and accessories. Their future home will be at Bocoble.

Together they had 2 children.

  1. Robert "Bruce" Cox
  2. Gordon Raymond Cox
